Vertaiskulttuuri
Peer Culture
In our community, the concept of peer culture takes many forms. Generally it is about people making things and having fun as equals. We do this in the form of co-creating art and events for people in an open manner.
This website is not meant only for the association, but for the larger community which organizes things with and without official affiliation to the association. The association has merely been one way to legally handle collective responsibilities and help fund our activities.

The Peer Culture Association Eldis Ry was established to support community-based experiential culture in Finland and around the world. Eldis was founded to act as an organizing body and supporter for an existing active community. We aim to create open events together where we can explore ourselves and each other through art and making.
Our activities are heavily inspired by the principles established by the Burning Man event, and many of our activities are directly or indirectly related to Burning Man culture. We strive to enable co-created experiences and bring together people interested in the topic. We aim to organize an annual project that is built on Nevada's Black Rock Desert at the end of August. Additionally, we organize community events in Finland, such as Helsinki Decompression. Our community, like all our endeavors, is driven by a desire to do things and determined by our collective will.
